MSNST, began as a load cell repair facility. We grew into manufacturing standard replacement load cells; and later identified that standard load cells often don’t easily integrate into our customers’ applications – which is why we began to focus on specialized design to suit the exact needs of our customers. This innovative approach has resulted in a number of patents and exposed our staff to myriad force/weight applications.

• Measuring roll force at steel mills where slabs of fresh steel get rolled into slabs

• Measuring tension in parachute cords for the Orion program

The applications for sensing force are endless. But sometimes you don’t need to reinvent the wheel and a standard load cell design will do exactly what you need. We do that too. We have several standard product lines that will serve 90% of applications.

The manufacture of load cells requires expertise in many technical disciplines. Structural engineering, mechanical engineering, CNC machining, precision inspection of machined components, assembling sensitive electronic components… We’ve assembled a team that represents over 250 years of load cell design and manufacture.
